The Wisenet 9 naming, the three named pillars, the thermal positioning and the Milestone XProtect plug-in press release dated 2026-07-20 all come from that read. The people and vehicle detection and the count analytics are documented in Arcules's own per-manufacturer compatibility material rather than by Hanwha. The other five rows come from each vendor's public documentation reviewed in July and August 2026 on the same four columns.

Which purchase is this: the cameras, or the software reading them?

Separate two questions that get merged constantly, because merging them is how estates end up replacing hardware that works. Hanwha Vision makes cameras: Wisenet 9 runs deep learning on its own system on chip, cybersecurity is named as a pillar rather than assumed, and the range runs from bank branches to ruggedized outdoor PTZ. If your cameras are failing, out of support or the wrong optics for the job, you are shopping for hardware and Verkada belongs on your list. If the cameras are fine and the complaint is what the system notices, you are shopping for software and every Wisenet camera you own can stay.

The first reason the software question comes up at all is that on-camera analytics scale beautifully and stop at the camera's own view. Analyzing video in the device avoids adding a server for every batch of cameras, which is exactly right.
