Spot AI named in Gartner research on AI vision intelligence

Spot AI has been named in Gartner's Emerging Tech research on AI vision intelligence, in the report Emerging Tech: AI Vendor Race: Tech Innovators in AI Vision Intelligence, Cutting-Edge Application (July 2026). It is Spot AI's first appearance in Gartner research.

Why it matters to Spot AI

For Spot AI, the recognition is outside validation of the bet the company has made from the start: video AI is becoming a real market, and the cameras a business already owns are moving from passive monitoring to action.

"This is a huge moment for our team. Not because it's a 'marketing win,' but because it's external validation of what we've believed and been building toward from the beginning: video AI is becoming a real market, and the future is moving from passive monitoring to action."

Allison Lilly, CMO, Spot AI

What that shift looks like for customers

Spot AI agents run on the cameras a business already has. They detect what matters in context, deter in real time with talk-downs, lights and sirens, and package the evidence so a team can resolve the incident instead of searching for footage.

Allison shared one example when the news broke. A Spot AI manufacturing customer used to have staff record their own screens to get footage off site. Today Spot AI analyzes that customer's video in real time, flags errors and safety issues, triggers the right response, and builds custom reports for leadership on request.

The same shift is showing up in convenience and fuel retail. Spot AI CEO Rish Gupta walked operators through it in a Convenience Store News webcast, and The Neighborly now runs five Spot AI capabilities across its stores, from people counting to parking lot loitering detection.
