Challenge 1: Limited user access

Before the Nashville Rescue Mission implemented Spot AI, they were using an on-premises server with limited user access of only five users at a time. This was inadequate for their needs and caused unreliable access to the cameras.

Solution 1: Single sign-on and unlimited users

Spot AI provided the Nashville Rescue Mission with unlimited user access and an easy sign-on process with their existing SSO provider. With Spot AI, they got remote system access, the ability for multiple people to watch the cameras at the same time, features for employees to collaborate with each other within the platform, and overall improved reliability and access.

“Probably the biggest benefit of Spot is the ease with which we can look up incidents and see footage and then be able to share it and collaborate. It really has reduced the amount of time that employees have to spend looking through the footage.”

Ben Grady, Manager of IT and Database Administration for the Nashville Rescue Mission

Challenge 2: Time-consuming investigations

The Nashville Rescue Mission was having difficulty with time-consuming searches. It was taking too long to go through footage and find what they were looking for.

Solution 2: Thumbnails and AI search

Spot AI’s use of thumbnails and AI people and vehicle filters while searching enabled the Nashville Rescue Mission to quickly go through lots of footage quickly to find what they were looking for. This greatly reduced the amount of time spent searching through footage, making it much easier and faster to look up incidents.

“The two things that caused us to go with Spot over the other ones that we looked at was the price, which was fair, and the use of thumbnails while searching to be able to quickly go through lots of material.”

Ben Grady, Manager of IT and Database Administration for the Nashville Rescue Mission

Conclusion

The Nashville Rescue Mission was able to overcome the challenges of limited user access and time-consuming searches with Spot AI. This allowed them to have multiple people watching the cameras at the same time, resulting in improved reliability and access. Spot AI also provided the use of thumbnails while searching, reducing the time spent looking through footage and making it easier to look up incidents.
